Dear Customers and Users,You will be pleased with your Fresh&Black tent owing to the freshness and darkness it provides. You may have noticed small holes on the tent canvas. This is not a product fault. Simply, a waterproof white seam line, used to assemble the panels of the lined canvas of your tent.To guarantee tent waterproofing, this seam line is covered with a watertight, heat-bonded and translucent strip which allows the light to pass through the small holes of the seam. The Black component which provides darkness is not completely uniform, so some tiny spots of light can be seen. This does not affect the waterproofing nor the overall tent obscurity (confirmed with laboratory tests).Jean-Baptiste Bonnafous, Product Manager
Overall great tent. Quick to put up, not too hard to pack up after watching some videos.
Withstood some pretty heavy wind gusts (40-50kmph). Great air vents. No condensation. Able to sit upright comfortably. Not sure how warm it would be in Aussie winter given not able to seal inner completely. Also could be 5 cm longer so air matress and sleeping bag doesn't touch the ends due to slope inwards. Great service from decathlon!
Spacious for two. Cavernous for one. Good space around doorway for stashing shoes, waterbottles, etc. under cover. Only slight comment against is that you don't know when it is morning! The blackout is very efficient. Reflects heat and keeps pretty cool inside, as long as the door is not open and facing the sun
I bought the 3 person blackout pop up tent for a festival and easily put it up and down without help. It is luxurious for 1 or fine for 2 people but like most tents wouldn't actually fit 3 adults in unless you had no stuff or airbeds! It rained and it stayed dry. Nice to have a double skin on a pop up. It is actually quite dark inside in the morning which is nice.
My only feedback would be that it would be useful to have more loops inside to hang things from and some way to peg down the front middle of the tent.
Happy with it though and would encourage others to buy it.
Used it with my partner for 2 weeks travelling from Sydney to Melbourne stopping at various camp sites last summer. We encountered some rain, but not heavy weather.
The tent was easy to set up and take down was a little harder, but still pretty good. It took little space in my Mini.
Unfortunately we had to return it as it had a tear from the beginning. Decathlon gave our money back very quickly after we came back from the 2 weeks camping.
One thing I do not like is that the tent is so dark inside. I know its a feature of this tent and some people will love it. But I prefer a more open feeling tent.
These tents are fab and remarkably robust.
I work in events and someone dropped a pallet load of steel deck on mine. After we cleared the deck the tent popped up as if nothing had happened. Even had a few holes however weirdly didn’t leak when it rained. Well worth the money and keeps you super cool on hot days.
I bought this tent for my two teen daughters to share. With two airbeds and all their stuff, there was still enough room. The Fresh and Black coating was tested to the max on a very hot and sunny weekend in North Wales. Their tent was much cooler and darker than mine! It was very quick and easy to pitch. A little bit trickier to get back into the bag but I'm sure we'll get the knack next time. All in all, a great value tent with great technical features. I am now looking at a bigger version for myself!
Having owned tents of all values this has to be up there, quality bit of kit.
Time equals money, this tent is somple to put up, a real joy, 100% recommend
Really pleased with this. Very easy to put up and just as easy to put down with simple step by step guide and colour coded tags. Would definitely recommend. Bought the 3 person which is very spacious ideal for two people with enough room for bags etc.
I loved this tent so much I even made a video about it!! (https://youtu.be/slX_LlvGtzI)
If you have had other pop up tents before, then you won't have trouble folding this one down. But for someone new to pop up tents, it takes a little practice
