im so happy because its works to my scooter.. but i have apply double protection with cable tied to more secure. maybe DECATHLON can make scooter friendly accesories product.
Wanted to have a bottle cage on my 1950's Hercules and this looked ideal as it shouldn't mark the original paintwork .
Fitted easily and tool free , just make sure you pull really hard to gt the straps as tight as poss otherwise it will move around .
Take note when mounting the current 100 BIKE METAL BOTTLE CAGE.
the screws from this universal mouth might be 1-2mm shorter then desired when screwing the bottle cage onto this mount.
I almost gave up when i was fixing the bottle case onto this mount that i placed my new bicycle.
might be a light marginal manufacturing error or the team desiging these products didn't reference enuff samples to make sure the screws were either long enuff or the nut embedded in the mount it's set too far deep in by a mere 1mm...
Hello Mr. Aaron,
Thanks for taking the time to review this product. We're sorry to hear of your inconvenience with the installation process, I've faced a similar issue installing 3rd-party bottle cages onto this mount, and will take this up with our product manager. If necessary, please feel free to drop by any of our stores to return this product and we will process a full refund for you! Once again, our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused.
Straps are too small to fit round the bar on my bike - universal implies it fits most bikes?
I'm sorry to read that the straps are too short for the thickness of the down-tube on your bike.
If you could, would you mind sending me a photo of the frame as I wish to forward this on to the person at b'Twin who manages this item.
In the meantime, please return it to your local store for an exchange or a refund.

I just received the item today. Postage took 3 work days. About average speed delivery from purchase.
The item itself is a cool concept. It fits my fat bottom bar on a dual sus bike. It fits in the second last hole. I think I could get it to the third, but once I fitted the mount, then removed it, the straps didn't go back to their original size. They are permanently stretched.
So right now, the item fits nice and snug. Feels like the water bottle wouldn't move. Though, I am *extremely* worried about the straps breaking. I am already thinking of a fix or maybe a new adapter.
So right now. I recommend the product. But the stretch (and not going back to original size after removal) in the straps are making me feel like it won't last very long.
Recommend: Both yes and no (I haven't owned long enough)
The bolt pulled through the rubber during the mounting process. Appalling production quality. Don't bother.
Hi Declan, thank you for sharing your feedback with our members across the world. We're aware of this limitation on the mount, and bTwin will be improving it in models to come in the future. In fact, we've already made a change in design on the product 'Bottle cage adaptor' (Model code: 8385631, currently out of stock!).
We'd love to exchange or refund this for you: Feel free to visit any of our stores in Australia as you have 365 days to return or exchange.
See you soon!
Recently purchased. Anyone tried these on a carbon front fork? Considering these for 1l of water cookset one side camping hammock on the other. Hope fork holds up. Curious to know if anyone has tried this on a carbon fork.
Used this to strap to the front fork for some bike packing adventure. His the spot especially considering the price.
It's a great emergency part to have in case the cage screw holes on your bike strip and you can't fasten a cage to your bike, BUT please make this with nylon webbing straps. The rubber doesn't last. Bought two when we were touring in June and the rubber has perished now. Great value for the price but would gladly pay more for a longer lasting model. (can't return since we are in the USA now)
Have an older bike, and was on a sportive (100m), and needed to carry a second bottle.
Rubber, fastens securely, is sticky to frame, and hasn't budged a millimetre.
