Used in a 2 day mountain marathon. Good balance of light weight and reasonable small size for carrying and also surprisingly confortable.
I used this on two different week long hikes in the UK summer. Like similar products, the self inflation is slow and was usually inflated it by blowing into it, which was easy enough as it is so small. Did not deflate overnight. The mat could be deflated and packed away as quickly as the Thermarests I have used. As it was always used above 10C I cannot comment how warm it will be in the cold. The mat is well constructed and the materials are robust enough to use it on bare ground. I did not get any air leaks but it was always used on top of a 5mm foam mat as I am paranoid about punctures.
It was as comfortable as any other self inflating mattress I used before. That is to say it is better than the traditional foam mat but not as good as an air mat.
It easily met expectations of a lightweight and compact mat and is excellent value.
Took this on a 10 day expedition in Germany/ Austria and it worked well, not a issue and packs down to a small enough size.
Just spent two weeks camping with one of these and found it very comfortable even on rough ground. It takes a while to self inflate but it takes two seconds to top it up.
Going to buy another one for my son.
Good insulation considering it's so lightweight.
Needs extra breaths rather than just self inflatin
I purchased two of these for my twins to use on their Duke of Edinburgh bronze expedition. They did already have camping mattresses they have used for scout camps and expeditions but wanted something smaller and lighter whilst still offering a degree of comfort. These were ideal although they were a little disapointed with the length of the mattress.
A good light weight hiking matress- small and easy
A little shorter than expected.
I would buy this again
