The old quechua poncho which was made out of different material (nylon I think) was more durable than this current version that feels very rubbery. It tears easily and the welded seams also come apart.
Immediately after purchase , used poncho while treking. It managed to bear heavy rain and hails. A good product.
Con - it's buttons opens up frequently.
Used it only once for a trek and I observed tear on the poncho near the neck area. Once back from the trek , I visited my nearest Decathlon centers for an exchange/refund. They refused and the reason they gave me was hilarious ; that I might not have undone the buttons while wearing the Poncho. Decathlon folks giving me a lesson on how to wear a polo t shirt ! : if the buttons are on while wearing , should the poncho tear or should you have difficulty wearing ? Worst case : the buttons should come out . Decathlon's answer : The poncho should tear.. Have you guys ever worn a polo t shirt ? Does the t shirt strip off just because the button was tightened ? I don't understand the hilarious answers given by Decathlon folks ... A french brand just became worse than the nearby street shop in quality assurance and customer relations.....Anyone looking out for ponchos, buy the local ones you get in trekking areas ... Those are much better ... A group of five bought these ponchos and almost all are torn with one use..... DO NOT BUY from Decathlon.. I would rather buy local merchandise than Decathlon ones... The quality is not good, and on top of that , Decathlon refuses to accept the issue and exchange the item...
Nice coat . best for trekking . easy to use .
I purchased this in July, came to me in August and in a month all the pasting of hood has come out, cant wear it now, doesn't dry quickly.
The material quality is good and the poncho is lightweight hence its no hassle to carry it. Although the fitting of the poncho seems to be an issue. The buttons which are used to keep it together are not of a good quality. They come out way too often and hence the poncho opens up from the sides letting the rain get in. A Velcro could be used instead to make sure the poncho stays intact. Would recommend it if the buttons are replaced with a better alternative.
I got defective piece, and I am not using it because weather is good, i can't exchange this because I don't have time to go there.. But was fix with fevi quick.. So for defective product 1 star...
Very poor quality. It is already tearing up after one use. The poncho took a big hole at the slightest touch of my trekking pole. The volume of the poncho is good, and covers a full size backpack, but the because of the poor quality, there isn't much use more Not worth Rs.400.
Poor quality of the material
for Rs. 400 you can get better product on road side stalls.
within 2 months of use it has already got tiny holes all over the poncho.
Thank you for your feedback on the Arpenaz 10L poncho. I am sorry to hear that you found the product disappointing.
The Arpenaz poncho is made of lightweight EVA material and is intended for very occasional use. I suggest you have a look at our complete range of waterproof products should you require a heavy duty fabric.
I am available in case you require further information.
Thanks and regards,
